Megacerops was an elephant-sized herbivore that rumbled across the Eocene of North America 35 million years ago. You might know it as Brontotherium, the "Thunder Beast," as that was its common name for many years. Recently it was changed for scientific reasons to "Mega Beast," which equally describes this massive, 8' tall at the shoulders, 15' long, 4 ton giant which possessed some of the neatest skull adornments of any mammal.
