Predators and Prey Crate
Predators and Prey Crate
Iconic dinosaurs lived in the Late Cretaceous of western North America. The tyrannosaurids lived up to their name, tyrants seeking sustenance at the hands of gentle herbivores. These plant-eaters had specializations all of their own to prevent from being eaten!
Tyrannosaurus – The reigning monarch of the Mesozoic, the King possessed small, yet robust, arms that ended in two clawed hands.Â
Daspletosaurus – The slightly older and smaller cousin of Tyrannosaurus possessed a savage toe claw, perfect for running down, then kicking, prey.
Maiasaura – The "Good Mother Lizard" gained her name from being found near nesting grounds. Lacking sharp teeth and claws, she relied on speed and herds to stay alive.
Pachycephalosaurus – The "Thick Headed Lizard" was fast and agile, as evidenced by its toe claw that grabbed the ground when it was time to run.
